Scratchbuilding red mangroves is a nightmare. Fusing vines and such, and if done well, it's still way over scale.
I got on the demon rum, started fiddling, and.....POW!
Now to fuse the top half of the tree, easy peazy!
I'm on to something here. Will post instructions when I get it going.
Mangroves....we can now make mangroves!
(That's where you find the snook, btw)

Stroke of genius! :D

That's clever! Demon drink is a good source of inspiration. Of course mangroves almost never appear in isolated form so I see a fair amount of work ahead.
Will be watching this one as I can see a need for mangroves in the future.

If they are still out there look for an aquarium plant (mango or something?) that works great as a mangrove - at least to my eyes.
Here is a link to a photo of some being tested out, not sure the tops are right but the bases work okay:

Even if you don't like the tops, you might be able to use the bottom portion and just rework the top. If they are still out there somewhere, of course.
I used them in my 15 mm pirate game that went live in 2012 (a reprise next Saturday of sorts - but the battle is land forces).

nice idea

Cheers! Bottoms look useful but not wild about the tops. Used to live slap bang next to the world's southernmost mangroves. One day I might get inspired to do some games set in the Rung Sat.

Thought about the Rung Sat too!

But, uh.... what exactly did you DO? ;D
Looks like you're using a treetop as the base, but which one? lol

Woodland scenics tree top for roots, then a second tree for top. I'll post a how to once I get my groove
