Are the horses ginormous? Anyone have pics?
I bought Gallic cav and the horses were like they were in a different scale - 40mm maybe....
-
They use the same horses as the other Victrix kits.
-
They look very big but do fit alongside my Gripping Beast plastics - also can fit GB riders on with a bit of trimming

That's a real shame....

At the FLHS yesterday I noticed Wargames Atlantic has a boxed set of just horses. What are they like size wise? And anyone know if the Victrix riders sit on them well.

A really good review - lots of useful pictures included. Ever since an unfortunate incident involving Foundry and Mutineer, I've been paranoid about mismatched horses... :'(

that's great, thanks! I'd love to see one side-by-side with a Victrix mammoth steed....

I did this a bit ago, but never got around to posting it. I don't have the Victrix Persian horse. But this is how the Macedonians stack up to other typical ranges in my collection. One thing to note, it is not just the horses, the riders are big even when compared to Victrix foot figures.

At arm's length can you tell the difference on the table JJonas?
Or is it only when you get "up close and personal" when painting them?

They are harder to rank up on some basing systems.
They are also wider (which doesn’t show in above).
Way back when - Battlestandard had Persian miniatures that were 32mm and larger. Vendel figures were large 28’s but had smallish horses.
This is where a Victrix horse meets a Battlestandard horse (1)
