A couple of us over on Blood Beards Garage (the Discord server) is setting up for Sludge battles this fall, with an eye for showcasing the game at next years Horisont Con in Odense, Denmark.
I thought it could be fun to make a thread showing my/our progression on here.
Now - be patient with me. It's been a while since I've posted on an honest to god Forum. I might be a little rusty in the details.
That said, here's my first converted unit, mid battle in our fist try out. Foot Knights.

A closer look at the Foot Knights pre paint. Converting with historicals are just great. These are of course mostly perry Agincourt men at arms.

On this up and coming officer, there's a little more pep.

First example of a painted mini. I'm going for something like Medieval uniforms designed by Napoleon with a smidge of Space Marine chapter in the mix.
This is my first finished shock trooper. I think of them as sappers. I gave myself an hour, since this is a mass battle game :D

Might need more dirt and mud

I like that a lot 8)
Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Very cool, I love the bearskins on the knights. The painted sapper is cool too

Thanks folks :)
Next Sludge force taking shape. These are build around Warlords Landsknechts, using the cultists list. Heads are in the mail, but basic build will be pikemen as Polearm line infantry, arqebusiers as musket line infantry, zweihander and halberd weilding Doppelsöldner as Shock Troops and cultists as a form of landsknecht Tercio third option swordmen.

Originally the idea were pikes as polearms and cultists as Forlorn Hopes with iconic landsknecht weaponry, but it sorta feels wrong in popular imagination to have big swords hitting much weaker than pikes.
So we'll have to convert up something like these instead.

and that is pretty fun...

(The kneeling dude in the back is (going to be) preparing grenades).

Just a little proof of life :) Been on holiday. I always overlook the mold lines until this stage...

now they're very sweet - where are the heads from?

Stl. File by Saint Decent (downscaled by something like 20% to fit the Warlord kit)

Many thanks - added to my followed creators!

I'm not at all familiar with the setting, but I'm liking what I see.
The conversions are looking great and the painted one is certainly giving off a unique vibe, with all the mixed and matched styles and equipment.
I'll be following this... :)
+++EDIT+++ I just looked up Sludge War, and I must say; there's a lot to like about it! Especially the Gore mechanic is very interesting 8)

These are really cool!
