28mm Celtiberian miniatures.
I've been scouring the internet for some nice 28mm Celtiberian Scutari troops. I'm after guys that convey a mixed celtic and iberian heritage in their dress and equipment, as per the images attached. All commercially available figures, that I could find, which label themselves as " Celtiberians " seem like generic iberians or generic celts. So no other option but to do a bit of good old kitbashing. Lucking I have plenty of plastic spares. I've combined bits from Agema, Victrix, Wargames Factory and Warlord Games. Base coated in silver - to make chainmail and helmets easy. We'll see how it goes.

Crusader do Celtiberians.
You could also look at plastic Carthaginians and do head and shield swaps. Or even use late Republican Romans and do the same though they all have short sleeves. Or is this what you're doing?
-
yep. Pretty much that.

As mentioned Crusader do some celtiberians.
Also Armurum & Aquila does the same and its the same sculptor as crusader so they mix and complement each other.

Thanks rumacara. Those Crusader ones do look quite good for Celtiberians. If I hadn't already commenced the project I'd get a set of those.

Mine are mostly Crusader with a mix of other models in there. To be honest, I found a unifying paint job to be more important than the exact equipment on each figure.

Those figures look great! I like the combination of unified colours and varied equipment.

Nice blue and white shields. I think I go w these type and colours. I'm awaiting a shipment of shields from 1st Corps.
