hey guys,
A good friend of mine had the misfortune to give me the following link to appreciate the work done by Dalauppror. ;D
right here : https://dalauppror.blogspot.com/2017/08/cult-of-odin.html (https://dalauppror.blogspot.com/2017/08/cult-of-odin.html)
As a result, I feel compelled to make one as an objective or game marker. For my vikings, Saxon or Ancient German. o_o
I will try not to disappoint him.....and all of you
Cheers
Eric

Last night working on the branches made of electrical wire...
-
The branches are sprayed with glue and coated with glue varnish (or Mod Podge) and paper handkerchiefs to obtain a texture imitating wood
the base is made with styrene foam
Next step: Add the roots

Now start the most difficult part of this unexpected project :
Decorate and embellish this tree as well as Dalauppror done for his own.
Victims (old and new), weapons as trophy and offerings of course...may be a crow or two

That's very clever! Nicely done.
-
Looking nice.
-
Looks like that tree has been well 'watered'. Nice work.
-
Thank you guys.
The basing is nearly finished and i hope to show you the work this week-end.
I add some foliage too as the tree is not completely dead.
We played yesterday a Teutoburg scenario with FFoL core rules with a lot of fun during the game.
I think to use this tree for a coming scenario as an aftermath of the ambush.
Cheers

hope you like it

Looking very nice Eric. :-* :-*
Just an opinion but i would darken a bit that tree base. Also try diferent bush colors here and there. It creates a more contrast and helps with the tree and its elements. Before glue just place them and see the effect. :)
-
thank you Rui.
it's still a wip
i have to include my long grass etc....And as you say, other colors ;)
-
Looking great, also fits a Cthulhu Invictus scenario :)
-
I think you have encouraged me to do something as a small diorama!
Cheers
Matt

With the events we have seen, i think it'll be time to get the Tree into play for our next scenario.
Involving roman prisoners ;)
