Title: Blood Bowl Project
Post by: scotty on August 28, 2022, 01:50:45 PM
After building my first team I decided to add a second. This time some Dark Elves - The Clar Karond Corsairs. Just the standard team straight from the box.

More here https://orcidasbb.blogspot.com/search/label/Dark%20Elf%20Team/.

I have also been making some slow progress on a dilapidated stadium, https://orcidasbb.blogspot.com/search/label/Stadium/

Finally added an extra Dark Elf Blitzer. A simple head swap on an Elf Union blitzer. Turned out ok. I also put together a Chaos Renegade team, converted from Chaos Marauders with a few other races added from various editions of Blood bowl. Great to see you’re enjoying Bloodbowl Scotty. It may be one of my favourite games and even though it has changed over the years (my friend who was slightly older than me taught me to play with 1st Ed I; the 80’s - then quickly on to 2nd), it holds a very dear place in my heart. Whilst my Halflings and dwarves are my main teams I have always done well with Orcs. I haven’t tried the Black Orcs yet but they’re on my list.

May Nuffle bless your blocking dice,

Andrew

I also started with the 1st edition, many years ago. A fun game I keep returning to over the years

Nice Old-school models on this ogre team!
I started with 2nd edition and even though I've drifted in and out of the game over 30years, it has been the one game that has lasted through the decades for me. I'm back in an "in" phase with the game and I'll probably ride this wave on out til I'm done with the hobby. I'm having a great time enjoying the latest edition and all the local leagues and tournaments. I've also taken to running the BB side games (Blitz Bowl and DungeonBowl) on the side away from the leagues and tourneys.

Anyway, great work on these teams! I _love_ the dark elf team but assembling the 6 models for the Blitz Bowl team was one of the most hateful hobby experiences I've been a part of. I don't know if I can bring myself to assemble a whole team. ha!

There is definitely some nostalgia with the old version of the Ogres. I also know what you mean on the Dark Elves, they were a pain to build.

As our clubs league continues I made some more progress on a couple of more teams. Skaven and Dwarves, both using a mix of 2nd and 3rd edition figures. More here https://orcidasbb.blogspot.com/2022/12/additional-figures.html?m=1

Who doesn't need a Minotaur for a Chaos team. Lovely 3d sculpt.https://orcidasbb.blogspot.com/2023/01/minotaur-and-friendly-game.html

I decided to change the Troll for my Chaos Renegade team to something a little more suitable.
I'm also using that model in my Renegades team. Is yours on the large size? Mine is a goo 10% bigger than all the other big guys in my collection. Weird thing is I got the Capaverd Chaos Ogre from the same printer and its size is fine.

He's actually not a bad size. Only slightly larger than my 3rd edition Ogres.

It has been a while, but finally added another team to the collection, The Black Sun Gors. Not totally happy with the team colours, but keeps them different to my old Chaos Chosen team. https://orcidasbb.blogspot.com/2023/03/the-black-sun-gors.html?m=1

I do like that Minotaur, he’s big and imposing without being impractically posed. I wish you lived in South Wales Scotty as I could do with another decent Bloodbowl opponent!

Keep up the good work,

Andrew
