Title: Old West casualties in 1/35 (54mm) scale for diorama project?

I've been away from the community for quite some time, but have gotten a new little project in my bonnet. I've started dabbling in 1/35 scale, I'm a very infrequent painter and modeller so more of a beginner. But now I'm trying to find a suitable casualty/ casualties for my idea. I might even get a crow or two, but struggling to find dead/ dying models in this scale. 25/ 28mm plenty of choices.

Anyone having some ideas/ pointers?

What period?
Dependent on that you could look at picking up a 'bag'
of toy soldiers off e-bay. Lots of cutting up (arms, legs,
heads & bodies) some reassembling & green-stuff etc.
to fill the gaps.

Irregular Miniatures do 54mm ACW casualty figures that might work.

You could always take some cheap plastic figures (e.g. Tim Mee, MPC, Marx reproductions), cut them off their base (or use a mounted figure) and lie them down as casualty figures (subject of course to the appropriateness of the initial pose). Could be a relatively simple conversion.

Replicants does (do?) some wounded, dead figures.  Here are some Texas Rangers, including what appears to be a wounded man on his back, plus two dead horses.

The Saloon Customers set has one drunk lying on the floor who certainly can pass for dead, as well as a sheriff who - though leaning against the piano - could easily assume a prone position and be a wounded figure.

Weston's Mexican Villagers Set includes two dead banditos, and the Apaches set includes one dead Apache:

And Toy Soldiers of San Diego (TSSD) made a dismounted US Cavalry set that had a plethora of dead and wounded (must have been for the Custer fight, although supposedly in their Civil War range):

Thank you very much for your advice gentlemen.  I normally use 28mm so this scale is a whole new ballgame.
