I am running a game at the Southern Front convention in Raleigh, NC next weekend. Decided to do a new mat for the fall/winter conditions present at Chattanooga in November or 1863.
I will catalog this week’s terrain work here. Nothing like a deadline to help with production!

Looks nice, what kind of paint do you use?

It's amazing how much terrain is that colour, rather than green. I've visited many battlefields in Spain, Italy and even some parts of central northern Europe in the summer, and that is the colour.
Well done for going for what is, rather than what is expected (green).

In Central Europe it is like that, green in spring, yellow in summer, brown in autumn and black/grey/white in winter depending on if there is snow.

Thanks all!
I have been using tempura craft paints. Cheap and smooth!
Here is a completed shot

Thanks for the info! It looks cool!
I was just asking because of this kind of mat is moved, folded, creased, etc, and not every kind of paint can take that.
