my question is about the break point limit
when a battlegroup break? it seems that it break only when wiped out
but this seems strange because it make break points useless

I can't answer your question, but 7Days has a Facebook page that the rules writers contribute to.

Seven Days to the Rhine is based off / related to Great Escape Games WWII set Iron Cross - and as far as I recall Iron Cross doesn’t have a break mechanism.
But the rules are pretty straight forward - so I don’t think adding a break mechanism would break anything rules wise. Depends how complex you want to make it - I quite like the counter draw mechanism from Battlegroup rules. Each unit as a BP rating, and the sum of these is the BP of the force. There is a bag of counters with BP values on them, ranging from 0 to 5 (I don’t think evenly distributed) along with some special counters. When you loose a unit you draw a counter (but keep it hidden) so your opponent never knows quite how close you are to your break point.

I don’t have the rules in front of me, but if I remember correctly you add up the total break points of your army. 2/3s (or maybe 3/4s) of that total is your Break Point. At the end of every turn you add up the break points of your loses that turn + 1d6. Keep adding to that total every turn, and once it equals or exceeds the Break Point your army breaks.

Capacuoco, the rules aren't terribly well laid out on this point. The concept of the "Break Point" is first mentioned under "Orders of Battle" (Page 24) and then expanded as part of the Victory Conditions for each of the scenario types ( pages 31-33).
