I recently ran across some old photos of Richard Marsh's wonderful DFS 230 Gliders in Crete,
plus an old scaled illustration of how he made them. Absolutely necessary for any Fallschirmjager
force! Hope its useful to someone:

(PS Ignore the VBCW fluff)

:D
I remember gaming with those a few times back in the day. Crude and simplistic but absolutely wonderful and they did/do the job as well as anything you can buy now.
I don't begrudge anyone making a living out of supporting this hobby but the deluge of mdf, resin (and even more so 3D print) pieces is killing a huge part of the "hobby" aspect of this hobby. It seems to be people look to see what they can buy before what they can make, which is a real shame.

Guilty.
I bought a lovely 1/48 model of a DFS glider because frankly the Sarissa one looks shite and I couldn't be bothered making my own, which probably would have been no better than the Sarissa one anyway.
It sits unbuilt in its box. :(
