Does anyone know if Slingshot is still being published. I haven't had one for ages .I have emailed SOA a couple of time but no reply

Hmm, website main page last updated 2010, Slingshot page says current issue is 2014. Doesn't look good.

Joined back in JUne and I got the July 2022 edition so presumably it's still going.

Yes, still going. The latest issue is apparently arriving with members shortly.

I can't comment on Slingshot as I left the SoA a few years ago after 40 years of membership. However they did have a stand at the SELWG show early September so the Society is still going. I tried to buy vol 2 of their book on the Goths but no-one wanted to talk to me.

Sometimes it’s awhile between issues, depending on contributors, everyone involved is volunteering so that’s not surprising. I’m in Australia so it can take some time before issues are actually delivered in the mail.
I ordered volume two of the Goths on the SoA website and it shipped same day.

Hi gostgost13, I'm the Society of Ancients publicity officer (real name, Chris) and I can definitely confirm that Slingshot is still alive and well. The most recent issue, #341, is likely already mailed out or should be in the next day or so. I've just posted to that effect here (https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=138586.0). Unfortunately this issue and the previous issue #340 have both run rather late, mainly due (as has been said) to an unexpected change of editor and, just now, a slow down in the flow of contributions. But hopefully everything should be back on track now. More or less :-).
I would like to apologise though, on two counts. I'm sorry it's taken me a week or so to spot your query respond. I don't subscribe to the forum as that would just generate too much traffic more traffic than I can handle, so I didn't spot your query until just now. I'm also very sorry to hear that you emailed the society twice but had no reply. That's a matter of concern, even for a society run entirely by volunteers, and it's also unusual so I'd like to follow up on that for you. It would help me to do that if you could let me know whether you used the website contact form or emailed directly and in that case, where you obtained the email address. Regards, Chris

I'm pretty sure my subscription is up to date. I got one a month or two back.
