Title: Hand made Papers for modelling
Post by: carlos marighela on October 05, 2022, 08:59:49 AM
Not long ago I came across a range of craft papers in one of our local art supply chains. These are hand made papers of and have to be seen to be believed. variety of textures from a sort of bamboo weave, through a sort of faux rush matting (useful as thatch) through various patterns useful to dress interiors as wall paper or carpets, create Japanese banners with random Japanese script, to embossed items that make good proxies for oriental tiling. There are also sheets with useful woodgrain for making interior floors and even pebble dash sheets that would make useable cobblestones with a dry brush.

They are all A4 sized sheets and vary in thickness from some which are copy paper thickness to thicker items like the bamboo and thatch weaves. price is between $3.65 and $4.40 AUD per sheet.

Well worth looking out for them locally.

Posted this in the roof thatching thread but seems worth putting in a thread of its own given the multiplicity of uses.
