Hi all, been meaning to post some of my progress and projects for a while, here's a test until I get the hang of uploading images :-)
-
Ooo, it worked! More to come as I do them, originally for a variety of Skirmish rules, the Silver Bayonet came along and with a few Harryhausen style bad guys they seemed to fit.
-
Lovely work :)
-
Very nice 👍
-
Lovely work :)
Indeed!
-
Thanks all! Some more.
I've some more to do then before the end of the year I'm finally beginning my long-promised 16th C Colonial project, with Portuguese, Tupi etc, from Brazil to the Orient :-)
-
blimey - wonderful all 'round - figures, scenics and paint-jobs!
-
Beautiful work on an unusual part of the Napoleonic wars. You should add a mini diorama of the engineer officer discovering the Rosetta Stone.
-
Cheers! Was thinking of doing something like that - I've got the parts to do a diorama base of an exhumed mummy with dissection tools etc. That'll do nicely for Silver Bayonet.
-
Lovely looking figures, very nice paintwork, and scene setting with them too
-
Lovely stuff.
Please keep on posting.
-
Lovely work well done. Just a quick question ... What color and make did you use for the sand?
Thanks
Hunlion
-
Cheers! That's a mix of a couple of the AK Interactive texture jars - Sandy Desert and the other - they have a nice warm tint to them, easily the best commercial desert texture product.

Brilliant work! 👍
-
Beautiful paint work on those figures.
-
Wow! :-* :-* :-*
-
Top work there, very impressive.
-
Thanks all. I've been meaning to post some samples of stuff I've done for *ages*. I'll get a variety of stuff up this weekend, next in the pipeline are Portuguese Colonial 16th C (brazil first) Ptolemaic Egyptian and Late Med Venetians :-)
I've got a 2/3 finished NKE army too, currently rebasing so I'll get that done and shot :-)
-
Absolutely tremendous painting. Very atmospheric.
-
Those are indeed some lovely figs. Well done, lad!
-
Awesome looking models and terrain! Very inspiring work to get motivated to do this period. Thank you for posting.
-
Masterful brushwork! Some of the finest painting I've ever seen! Great terrain as well!
-
Wow!
Those guys on camel are especially nice, but the entire set is fantastic!
-
Those are beautiful, who makes the figure?
-
Mostly Perry I think?
Not sure about the 4 'character' models shown in one pic.
-
I think they are from Brigade Games in the US...

I think they are from Brigade Games in the US...
Indeed they are! French Scientists/Savants to be specific...
-
Wow, thanks for the responses all. Yes, they're all Perry's but the Savants from Brigade.
Just 3 more done (basing unfinished). More to come this weekend!
-
Wow.
-
Gorgeous work! 👍
-
Ooh!
-
Thanks all! Couple more done. Some scenario fodder.
-
Just caught this thread - wow! Just....wow!!! You manage to get an appropriately "dusty" look to the figures without overwhelming them - superb.
-
Looking great yet again - can't wait to see more!
-
Wonderful. IMHO the palette you are using for these figures is just perfect.
-
Thanks all! Started some sailors, still the basing to finish.
-
It's nice to see this project, not only because it focuses on a time of the Napoleonic wars, little used, both in terms of painting and gameplay. In addition, the quality of the stitching work is exquisite.
Not to mention the work you're doing with the set design. The texture of the street surrounded by houses, from the first post, is amazing.
Congratulations for this work, so magnificent.
-
Thanks for the response everyone!
Some more Sailors from Brigade Games
-
Great paint job on those minis :)
-
Lovely 8)
-
I really like these with their ragtag look.
-
What's not to love about this project?
Lovely painting, nice bases, cool all around! :)
-
Looking great, as always!
-
Masterful brushwork! Absolutely fantastic!
-
Thanks all! Been doing some props! Some more to come before a few more French and then onto the British!
-
More great-looking figures. Love the sarcophagus...
