Title: Knuckleduster Miniatures 28mm Hollywood Cavalry
Post by: guitarheroandy on November 21, 2022, 07:39:29 PM
After 6 months off from painting, I've just bought a set of the mounted and dismounted Knuckleduster Miniatures 28mm Hollywood US Cavalry. They are about to release a command pack with minis that actually resemble the actors from the classic 1950s John Ford movies and I'll be ordering those when they come out, but til then I've made a start on cleaning up and prepping these first two packs. very little clean up to do and the quality of both the metal troopers and resin horses is superb! Gonna undercoat them tomorrow and then crack on with the painting!
Here's a quick teaser pic or two before I glue them to the bases... Wish me luck! Nervous about the shallow but beautiful detail and the fact I've not picked up a brush in 6 months! Still not 100% sure on what technique to use on them...

I love Knuckledusters stuff, it’s the Brittles and Quincannons I’m waiting for but looking forward to seeing how these look painted up. Hopefully they’ll fit with foundry & artizan

I’m too old and stupid to be able to post links from my phone but Knuckleduster have 3D renders up on Facebook for the command pack - Brittles, Quincannon, Tiree and Colonel Fonda as well as generic bugler & standard bearer. Can’t be long now

Shaping up to be a great little line, I hope they do more waves to round out the poses. I would love to see a prone figure firing a carbine.

I have been waited for a good set of mounted and dismounted cavalry figures.
I decided years ago to pick up only mounted and dismounted figures of my main characters.
Can't have a cowboy without his horse. ;)
And I love Knuckleduster Miniatures.

Ooh just checked their Facebook page - renders for Apache on foot and a mounted colonel Thursday. They look good too!

No no, you need the kept, it marks him out as the eastern martinet who’s going to get them all killed

I agree.  That's what he wore in the film...
