This is a 1:100 (15mm) Chi-Ha Shinhoto, the later version with the long 47mm gun, that I designed a while ago for a commercial client, though I don't believe they've actually produced it (yet).

Since I printed it, a few months ago, both the turret and hull have developed some pretty bad cracking, and I'm not sure why. Both components were printed solid, and it may be that the innards have not cured properly, or else maybe the outer layers were over-cured... but really, I'm just flailing in the dark. It could be any number of things.

That’s a shame about the cracking, the models look good and your paint jobs look excellent! I haven’t heard of printed models cracking, but I guess it makes sense with resin prints, since other types of resin sometimes react oddly too. Hopefully future prints of this model don’t have the same issues, they deserve to be on wargame tables!

Interesting and troubling that solid prints have cracked. The only prints I’ve had crack (well, literally tear themselves apart) have been hollowed out (and some of those have taken many months to do so). One that I thought was solid wasn’t, as when I looked back at the drawing I’d accidentally pushed a hollow inside.

That looks superb, cracks not withstanding.
