Heyhey, I currently got the honour of painting grenadiers of the 1st regiment for 1808(-ish).
Here's two WIP photos:

Gotta get them done and back to their home by christmas. Here's the edit, since I was made aware of the fact that these indeed are FR figures, not Perrys (I just wanted to believe so badly :D ). Front Rank are my favourite Nappy figures manufacturer. Always top quality, always great to paint, AND you can buy single figures. What's not to love.

Stupendous painting Sigur. Those are quite the hats.
-
GORGEOUS! I love the blue coats! So many Spanish regiments wear white that this is a nice change.

Gotta get them done and back to their home by christmas. What I find remarkable about those figures though is the quality of the casting. We all know that with some certain Perrys figures there's some casting iffiness (I assume due to wear on the molds). These here though are just brilliantly cast. I assume they're new molds. The casting quality is way up there with the best. Certainly recommended.
I think the reason the casting is good is because they are Front Rank figs and Gripping Beast are renown for both keeping their molds up to snuff and casting well.

Very nicely painted though!

Looking great! Can't wait to see more!

Those chaps sure do look the business!

@Codsticker: Thanks, I try. ;)
@MaleGriffin: Cheers! Yes, I was rather happy with going blue-coated as well. Not sure about the tone, but I was told to paint them proper flashy due to their status and all.
@MiniPigs: Woah. The gentleman I paint these for said those were Perrys, but maybe he meant another unit he gave me. This explains quite a lot. They felt like Front Rank figures. Thanks for the heads up!
@glenning: Cheers, just one more moment...
@CapnJim: Thanks, Sir! They sure do!
Right, here's them done:

I feel really smug now. :D Hope you like them as well! Comments are welcome as always!

Your usual superb work!

Lovely 8)

Oh, yeah. Those colors do the trick!
-
@MGH: Thanks very much!
@OSHIROmodels: Cheers, Sir!
@CapnJim: Indeed! I do like colours. :)
Here's the Spaniards again, this time with some Spain around them:

Happy third Advent Sunday!

Looking beautiful.
-
Mindblowing! I really love them and how you present them. Nice, clean colors, sexy uniforms…that’s why I love Napoleonics (and that’s also why I have a huge respect and haven’t dared starting a collection)!
-
Love the shot of them actually "in Spain". Do you know where in Spain that shot was taken?
-
@Menibonean: Thanks very much!
@DivisMal: Cheers, much obliged. Yeah, Napoleonics is a slippery slope, and 28mm greases it up. :D But look at them! My own collections are 6mm and 28mm (the latter just for sirmishing though, I keep telling myself) and it works OK so far. Well, my 6mm French never saw a game so far, and the 28mm ones just two tiny games of Song of Drums and Shakos. :D But I'll try to recitfy that in 2023

Song of Drums and Shakos will probably get me one day.
I’m a huge fan of Song of Blades and heroes - it actually brought me back into fantasy wargaming after being burnt out by all those „boutique“ style wargames. And I öike Sharpe and Jack Aubrey both have lots of actions that could be played pretty well, I assume, with the Song of… engine.

Yup, they're great rules. For me Sellswords and Spellslingers led to me refurbishing loads of fantasy figures and adding some more!

Indeed. Sellswords and Spellsingers is on my 2 buy list.
