Title: British zombies
Post by: Bullshott on December 20, 2022, 09:57:00 AM
Can anyone recommend a source of zombies in WW2 style British uniforms? Must be available in UK

Not the German escapees from the local POW camp? (in the UK)

Studio Miniatures does German zombies, but I can't think of anyone who does British.

About the only thing I'm coming up with is conversions using Warlord British and possibly mantic ghouls, but I'm not sure if that would work.

You've got me curious now to see what other people come up with lol

Kitbashing plastics is something I would recommend.

Over on the Wargames Atlantic Forum there is a thread with some good examples.

Wargames Atlantic and Wargames Factory…

The only zombies in 28mm I have seen are always Germany.

Thanks for sharing the link. And that conversion is top notch. But requires the Wargames Atlantic Plastic Germans and the bits from the Frostgrave cultists, or rather just the hands from that, plus the Mantic Ghouls.

Might be worth asking if people have these parts/bits spare, Bullshott?

Konflikt 47 has a couple of Commonwealth zombies in the Japanese range, but they're in tropical uniforms so probably not what you're after.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. I agree the way forward is to use Warlord plastic British with new heads, hands, etc.

I don't need many figures, so a sprue of plastic commandos (that I already have), some metal zombie heads I found in my bits box and a few other bits with additional greenstuff should be enough to do the job

I'll be using these as zombified 1950s British troops in my Zona Albion project (see my thread on the Post-Apocalypse board)

Warlord british plastic and heads from mantic or fireforge.

Westwind does some Russian zombies in its Secrets of the Third Reich range (along with Germans, of course ::))

I was wondering about suggesting them as a basis for conversion, but it looks like they're wearing boots rather than shoes :(

Anvil do zombie heads.

You might need to drill out the necks of the bodies for these (and the Frostgrave heads).
