These look excellent, totally convincing as SW mercenaries or rebels. Love the tall blue-grey alien in particular - is that one of the CP Models figures?
I hate them lol
Stormtroopers are mine and are WotC bendies.
Yeah, not the greatest but they’re at least close enough to 28mm lol
Ace! But what will you use as stormtroopers in 28mm? The Legion models are too large. Do the Imperial Assault plastics work?
James is bringing the Stormtroopers, but I’ve kitbashed Stargrave troopers with Anvil Industries heads as garrison or corporate troops.
As the campaign grows the rebels will move towards more informed troops. Again using the Stargrave Mercs with various heads from Wargames Atlantic and Anvil. Wait til you see the Jedi… again kitbashed Frostgrave figures. :)
They look great. Such a characterful group. I’m looking forward to seeing more.Yep!
Yep!
(I see you modelled some on past Blam attendees! ;) lol)
Nice job Nick👍
(I see you modelled some on past Blam attendees! ;) lol)
I converted a Frostgrave wizard to a Jedi. One of the easier conversions I've done - they are pretty much made for it :D

Ahh do t tell everyone as they’ll all be doing it! ;)
To be continued….
My gaming group also use Galactic Heroes
The cargo sled look pretty nice - will it work with the bigger Wars legion miniatures?
Fantastic report. Really making me want to give the rules a try.Do try them, as a taster the PDFs are cheap. The rules are simple, easy to learn,
Down with the Empire!

He's dead and he knows it!
Changed that for you >:D
That very fine and dandy sash won’t save him >:D
That looks great!! But do a lot of the bounty hunters in the SW universe die well?? 🤔
In case anyone is wondering who he is based on:

Bounty hunters in the Star Wars universe are really old aren't they? That guy is geriatric!I’d imagine it’s like real life in dangerous occupations; you only see the good and lucky ones age :D

Anyway….. back on topic, which movie is the character from? He has a Rutger Hauer vibe.
Please, please, please watch the original trilogy lol
Introducing Fo-Xi Chicc, Supa FliLove it ! lol

She's very cool, but if you're aluding to that being a white afro, well all I see is a big Russian fur hat.
I'd be more inclined to call her Fatima Boosh, Captain of the Vladivostok, but horses for courses.
he looks suitably mean, devious and evil.
Top scum!
The cloak on Mando ain’t gonna last. Lol
Dan
Perhaps it isn’t a flammable material? It doesn’t catch fire in the series.Probably the same material as the clone jet troopers used with their kamas...stuff is designed to protect them from their own jet packs

Makes perfect sense 8)
Just like everything else in Star Wars lol
Your conversion and painting job are super cool ! I'ts a pleasure to see PF's sculptures from CP Models used this way, so great.
Anymore gaming plans ?
It's really inspiring seeing how much you have managed to do with the Stargrave sets. Love what you've done with the CP alien - hard to make an alien face convey irritation, but I feel like that's what you've done. His colour choices are very 'construction worker' too - he's oozing character.
I love the sculpt and his pet, but feel the hover chair is a bit of a let down with the sculpting a little crude, especially the sides and the back.
Corpos have better gear and dice rolls >:DSo Gamey lol lol
So Gamey lol lol
Where's that team photo?
Fans are waiting. lol
I'll take one tomorrow. :)
I'll take one tomorrow. :)Ok, it's now tomorrow, where are the pictures? ;)

Here you go, started in December. 24 since then which is quite an achievement as I don’t have much spare time and am a very slow painter. lolOld retired men have a lot of time. And your young and beautiful wife also needs time for herself and the dog won't play the whole day. So, no miracle that you painted so much - after they throw you out of the local pubs ;) lol
Lovely collection :-*

Pretty diverse group of scum you painted there 8)
If you don't mind me asking; where's the chucky guy in the floating chair in the back from?
Now you can start the Empire... ;) ;) ;D
That’s my bag :D
How many games did you win so far ???? ;Dlol
How many games did you win so far ???? ;D
2-1 to me at the moment :D
It's really impressive how well you can pull perfectly formed Star Wars figures out of those Stargrave sprues.
What's your recipe for that super clean white?
Such a gamey gun lol
Gonk >:(
Nice additions to your project Nick :)
Funnily enough both the Gonk and an A-wing are on my shopping list… given the latter is 1/48 should fit nicely with SW Legion
...These will be appearing at the OSHIRO Modelterrain Star Wars game tomorrow at Salute 2023, drop by and say hello. :)
They’re excellent!
When do you think they might get a game?
lol
Tomorrow! ;) :D
Good kitbashing skills! I hear the Empire turned them over today though. Must be cheating!
I really love all these conversions Nick and find them perfect with what I'd want to do in a Star Wars game. I mean, the fact that this is Bo Katan, but is also not quite Bo Katan, allows a player to make the figure their own and tell a story not necessarily tied to canon. The problem I see is playing these larger than life characters on the table and not seeing them live up to their namesakes I feel is disappointing.
I have been meaning to ask - does stormtrooper armour provide protection in FFL GH?
We have Stormies wearing light armour, seems reasonable as blasters seem to have little problem penetrating them.

I think if that were to happen then it would be very one sided. We haven’t done carbon copies, just impressions of main characters, that way it’s not so bad if they die.

…or tusken clubs, or Ewoks slingshots, or knives, or….
;)
In our campaign the main characters never die they just wind up in a bacta tank. Often their retrieval is the next mission. lol
One medical facility coming up lol
I haven’t painted any Mandos yet… every time one gets near the front of my paint queue I’m not sure what to do with the colour scheme ;D

I'm assuming that's a bubble blowing machine he's armed with ;D
That droid is the first to go >:D
Here are the Peoples liberation front of Nevarro:
All this talk about the PLFN (Peoples liberation front of Nevarro), what about the LFPN (Liberation Front for the People of Navarro)
Splitters!!!
Just wait till the truth comes out ;D
Excellent report Nick. I think James needs some Stormies!
Is there really some kind of capturing mechanic or is that just your narrative?
Splendid stuff! Power to the PLFN! I would have a quiet word with the PLFN armourer though, the Tibanna gas cartridge running out in the first shot smacks of a lackadaisical approach to basic weapon maintenance. ;)

A reward of 700 Credits will be given for any information leading to the whereabouts of the below criminals.

Superb looking game, what rules did you use?
I think they use the most excellent (& fun) Galactic Heroes from the
Fist Full of Lead stable of rules.
lol
Indeed and it happening to two of them in rapid succession. I think there maybe reprisals. ;)

So what's the score?
Excellent looking figures and terrain! Great battle report, as well. This is EXACTLY what I'm trying to get my friends to do as a joint project, as well. The challenge would be to think of enough factions to cover our 7-8 players we have showing up on a regular basis...
Empire
Corporate Security
Mercenaries
Syndicate Crime Group
Rebels
...help? lol
Mike Demana
Sith
Smugglers
Jedi
Traders/Merchants
Free Ryloth
Mandalorians
Night Sisters
Eagerly awaiting Scenario Two!
Thanks, guys! Now, to pitch it to the group! lol
I am also eagerly awaiting the next chapter of the story (soon to appear on Disney+ ??).
Mike Demana
But without the budget :D
Terrorist lies ::)
Another great report and game setup. All splendid as usual. I can see the Corpos are in danger of being under a high level of Imperial scrutiny!
Yes. The Corpos do seem somewhat lacking in competence.
Save the rebellion, save the dream!
I put it down to their leadership ;)
Fine additions, that Jedi is giving me Ewan McGregor vibes as Obi Wan :)
“Hello there!” :Dlol
Any resemblance is purely coincidental. ;)
Nice additions to your collection and perfect for slaying Imperials. James is going to regret letting you have that light saber bladeMy thoughts exactly :D
My thoughts exactly :D
However, I suppose they come in red too...
Sadly they do… there are Inquisitors roaming the galaxy looking for the Jedi who are currently in hiding , it’s only a matter of time before they are found…. ;)
Great write up, Nick, I also thought it was very chivalrous for you to allow James a win. lol Although I do wonder if Captain Linta's hatred for the Empire resulted in her wanting to kill Corpos instead of completing the objective (I don't want to call you bloodthirsty, but...)
but killing Corpos is great fun lol
By this point the town was littered with dead and wounded Corpos...
Shortly before his arrest
Such lies ::)
The corpos take to the roof tops to try their luck, completely forgetting they are supposed to be finding droids...!lol
The Rebels are winning both the battles and the information war, as the Corpo reports seem to take ages to appear ….. perhaps they’re worried that their less than stellar performance will attract adverse attention from more competent authorities?
Unfortunately, the Corpos have to work…
Slaves to the man
Another great AAR … much more bloody as well.
Interested to hear how you manage the rebels that recovered from their brush with death…? Apart from Captain Linta and R4 the rest didn’t make it to the ship, so are they stuck on the planet?
Such outright lies ::)
For the campaign narrative those who survived this scenario manage to make alternative escape plans and will appear in the next scenario. You know the sort of thing, there's always a plan B; predesignated hideout location for anyone who didn't get to the ship, rendezvous there, arrange safe passage or steal a new ship, then make contact with Captain Linta, receive the hyperspace coordinates from him and meet up safely later all in the nick of time before the Empire arrives. ;)
Maybe one of them is a traitor...
These brave freedom fighters have ignited the spark which will light the fuse as Nevarro now goes under martial law following the arrival of the Empire. It will not be long before the whole planet revolts.....
Michi is wounded. He subsequently managed to crawl into the building and hide, making his escape later.
Lovely paint job…that figure seems almost made for a Jedi and the lightsabre works really well
:)
Another Jedi in hiding, soon to return to restore order to the galaxy.
Introducing Day’ Zee. Frostgrave female wizard with greenstuff lightsabre, blade supplied by James from Oshiro.
But isn't it a bit concerning that The Empire is providing lightsabres? :o
They've been getting delivered to the 'Definitely Not The Rebels Corporation, Secret Rebel Base, Nevarro'.Probably another movie then before they notice.
Great job Nick - hadn't seen that figure previously, but it really works well.
So...flying jedi... even James isn't THAT gamey... ;) lol
Great work again - they look like a cohesive bunch
What is the collective terms for a group of Jedi…? A massacre? ;)
A game winner? lol
lol
Yeah but it’s such a low bar … ;)

Very cool 8)
Very dead >:D
Humm!!! Jaime is too quiet with the imperials... ::)
Great addition to your star wars range! I like your light sabers. Do the tips come rounded or do you rasp them into the right shape by yourself?
Its acrylic rod supplied by Oshiro Modelterrain already Cut to length, drilled, pinned and the end rounded off.Useful to know, I have a Hassle free Mystic Family pack somewhere.
