After painting (almost) all my Star Wars stuff last year (if you are interested: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=132932.0 (https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=132932.0)), we finally played a Star Wars game, borrowing a scenario from Baron von J (http://baronvonj.blogspot.com/2022/01/galactic-heroes-jedi-hunters.html (http://baronvonj.blogspot.com/2022/01/galactic-heroes-jedi-hunters.html)).
Jedi Master Judwan Vhing with a small crew attempted to take out a false beacon on the planet Aniron, put there by the Empire to lure Jedi that had survived order 66.

Darth Vader and Royal guards tried to stop them

The beacon was transmitting from an old Jedi temple in the alien jungle of Aniron.

Both sides had their plans disrupted by local wildlife.

Master Vhing eventually managed to take out the opposition (including Darth Vader!) while his team kept the wildlife at bay.

Darth Vader was medevac-ed and lived to fight another day.

That looked like a lot of fun! Good idea for the Jokers - NPCs or creatures attacking the players...
So, if a player got a Joker, did that mean he lost out on the turn of one of his own figures? Or they played it and got a re-deal?

Thanks people!

The jokers were just to randomize the arrival of the wildlife (there was a chance they wouldn't arrive at all). So when a player drew a joker, it was taken out of the deck and the wildlife figures were placed on a randomized table side. The player got a new card for that turn (so all of his figures could be activated).
At the end of the turn the wildlife would get their two actions. They basically react to the player's figures, moving always at maximum speed towards the nearest prey. Therefore activation at the end seemed logical.

Great mechanic! I like that much better than forfeiting one of your moves. Thank you...
Keep the reports coming. I have a friend who's a huge Star Wars fan, but prefers board games over minis. I am trying get him interesting in playing or running Galactic Heroes.

Nice game! Good use of the Jokers too, we do the same thing and it's great for introducing a bit of environmental activity. We've done it where it introduces wildlife or where it changes the environment, such as an acid rain shower, dust/ash storm, or something like that.

great looking and sounding game.
