Title: Drumnadrochit 1745 afet action report.
Post by: Rogerc on January 23, 2023, 10:40:54 PM
We had an SP2 game for the 1745 rising recently, rather un-balanced but gave us some great insight for future games, write up and images on my blog here: https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/2023/01/drumnadrochit-1746-first-sharp-practice.html

Pretty. Thanks for posting.
I really must paint up more Highlanders as, like yours,
mine are greatly outnumbered by Government forces.

Great looking game and minis :-*
Have you tried Rebels and Patriots for this period?

We (Vodkafan & myself) do use Rebels & Patriots for the Jacobite rebellion
& like them.

Cheers guys, not tried Rebels and Patriots for any period, to be fair I think Sharp Practice will work well, just needs tweaking and balancing. One for the back pocket though.

Oh go on, give it a try. :D

Just one example. Natives, intended for Woods Indians, suit Clansmen wonderfully.
Can fire to some effect, but NOT up to the standard of Line Troops.
Not slowed by rough terrain like Line Troops, &
Love getting into combat.
Just saying... :D

Very interesting battle report.  The figures and terrain all looked great!

Maybe next time for the Jacobites....

Beautiful game from a flavorful period.  But ye must be daft to charge right into cannon fire!
