Title: Passing of Lori Brom
Post by: ColCampbell on January 24, 2023, 01:55:05 AM
Just got word late this afternoon that Lori Brom (of Sergeants3 and The Sword and the Flame) succumbed to a heart attack this afternoon in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Her passing is a shock.  There are no further details but I'll post anything that comes along.

She was proceeded in death by her father Larry Brom and her mother.  He is survived by her younger sister Christy.

Very sad. Far too often these days, I read of the passing of those names that were so instrumental in the hobby that I love so much. May she rest in peace.

Very sad and terribly surprising news, but thank you for sharing it with the rest of us, Jim.  Lori was a wonderful lady and I will always remember her generous spirit and sincere kindness -- and also her hilarious sense of humor.  May she Rest In Peace... and May Her Memory be for a Blessing to all those who knew and loved her, especially her younger sister Christy.

Very sad news indeed. Very unexpected, I was just communicating with her about a joint project.

What a special woman, so easy to talk to and always fun to be around. So many good memories from cons and games. Lori was actually in my very first TSATF game ever in the mid 80's at a con. She was describing the nuances of the rules and told me to get my Egyptians into cover ASAP before they got slaughtered. Sad days indeed.

My heart goes out to her sister Christy, you're in our thoughts and prayers!

I'm very sorry to hear of Lori's passing.  The older I get the more people I know pass away. She will be missed.

So sad.

I remember asking her to ask Larry permission to run "The Sword and the Spongebob" kids games at cons.   She laughed and said "Larry loves it".
