Title: Old Foundry Pikes
Post by: RedbeardRum on January 29, 2023, 10:01:18 PM
I acquired a job lot of old Foundry stuff. Lovely sculpts if a bit flash heavy. Old moulds I suppose….I scraped together a pike block

Very nice. Not bad for figures released in the early/mid 1980s. I too have used some recently and was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit size-wise with some more recent sculpts. If anything the ones I used were bigger than modern Perry Miniatures ECW figures.

Very well done. I only use a few Foundry figures now, but I do find the heads very useful for head swaps. Some of the faces are tremendous.

Very nice paint work and a cracking looking unit, RedbeardRum  :) .

I’m still very fond of the 17th century Perry work at Foundry and they keep making an appearance in my units.  Very characterful figures.

Lovely stuff, they form a large portion of my TYW armies with various command stands so they can be Catholic, Protestant, French or even pop over the Channel!
