Well, I wanted to experiment on verdigris effects for undead types, so tried it out on an Otherworld Death Knight. I used Vallejo Verdigris Glaze and figured I would try different base colours to glaze the verdigris over. The Helmet is Foundry Ochre shade. The chest plate is burning gold shade and all the other plates are burning gold light. The chain is foundry metal with AK light rust wash. Jury’s out….

I like how it turned out. Definitely gives the impression that he’s been buried or sitting in a crypt for a while. If there is anything to consider changing, I would suggest more corrosion on the mail and other iron parts, but I don’t think it is a priority.

Lovely! He’s been lying around in a barrow for quite some time it seems!

he looks very convincing. Well done.

It does look very good. If you are not happy with it, next time try going darker with your base so the metals look like they are tarnished before the verdigris forms. You can also thin the verdigris paint and do multiple thin layers to build up the colors.
