"Why that's ****** ********, the famous one man band"
"What's a one man band, mummy?"
"It's one man and he's banned from every pub in ********"
(Names deleted to protect the 'innocent' ;)
I *needed* a bard for my warbands and nobody did what I wanted so LAF's own Tin Shed stepped in and I'm delighted with what Mark sculpted. A quickie colouring in......

Brilliant sculpt, lovely paint job.

That is fantastic! Sculpting and painting.

Mark posted this over at The Society of Hysterical Wargamers. It is indeed well sculpted and the painting is top notch Dags. You must be proud as heck.

What a great figure... and excellent painting.

Beautiful sculpt. When I read the title all I could think of was:

Ooh. Very nice. Will anyone be selling this talented and well equipped bard in the future?

It won't be in a shop. I don't have the time, inclination, bank balance or complete lack of sanity to want to start a miniatures company! But, like all my occasional vanity figures, it has been moulded and I've got a few copies in white metal. This one will be off to ****** ******** as soon as it's had another coat of varnish, one will be going back to Mark and I'll paint a couple for myself to go with my Saga and Frostgrave bands. That means I do have a couple of castings spare which I'm more happy to let folks have to help offset the moulding/casting costs.

8) That’s bloody brilliant 8) 8) 8)
Some of Marks cracking characterful sculpting & you’ve outdone yourself with the paint flinging :o :o

Is that Bill Bayley then?
-
The Subject took great offence when someone on FB thought it looked like Bill Oddie lol
Think he'd be slightly less offended by that comparison.
It's actually based (and is a dead ringer) on a mate who works in the miniatures industry and is a bit of a muso on the side ;)

Holy moly, what a figure Mark sculpted and how great it turned out with your paint on 'im.
