On a wargames club site (which may have been something like GW3 GWP3?) many, MANY years someone described how they built a fortified manor house. It was mainly scratch-built with a few Battlements resin pieces incorporated. The construction was over several episodes. It was followed by a multi-part thread outlining the subsequent siege wargame, ending in the storming of the stronghold. Thrilling.
It was utterly inspiring AND I CAN'T FIND IT!
So does anyone remember it? And if you do can you recall where it was? I am guessing we are looking at around 15 years ago. It could be plus or minus 3 on that. My memory is getting elastic.
Any help at all appreciated,
UPDATE: On a GWP3 site I have just seen someone was looking for this in 2010 so 15 yrs may be conservative..

The Paul E is the talented Paul Eaglestone of Empress Miniatures fame. Clearly a very busy man but you could ask if he is in the position to repost the articles. He is Paul @ Empress Miniatures on this very forum.

Nice comments. I didn't expect that lol lol lol Many thanks anyway.
There is also a how to guide somewhere. I am pretty sure it was on LAF in one of its previous server reincarnations. It was also on Gentleman's Wargames Parlour which may still exist. I suspect I do have the original pictures which I managed to grab from Picture Hub before they got very greedy and held everyone's pictures to ransom.
So glad that you chaps enjoyed it. Cheers, Paul.

After being inspired a dozen years ago I have finally got around to recreating my own version!
A friend is making the fortified manor, and I am assembling some character figures. I already have a few hundred rank and file, and artillery. Those mortars will have a raison d'etre at last. And I have assembled 70-80 gabions.
And this is DIRECTLY a result of those threads. lol

I feel both honoured and humble that my ideas inspired you. Many thanks for that.
Have fun and I look forward to reading your posts on the siege. :D

A great tabletop! I’m also eager to see the inspiration it has lead to!
