Played a pretty big game of Triumph of the Will with our modified rules, 8 players 16 foot table. Went very well. The Baron trying to link up with the remnants of Semyenovs forces. Write up and pictures here: https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/2023/02/the-barons-last-chance-rcw-aar.html

Very nice!

Very cool, both troops and table.
I do think it is funny that you should apologise for playing a bit loose with history though. Given the deviations from reality of most of BoB, yours was almost a historical game!

Great looking game

Thanks very guys, Mark I like to play something historical if I can and if not at least let people know how far out it might or might not be. This is more of a what if than a Back of Beyond Fantasy, nice oporunity to mix the different troops in.

Great, as always, Roger. That's an impressive host you guys have now.
-
Cheers Trev, still a few things in the box including a whole Chinese army and the start of a Polish one!
-
That sounds promising. Although I'm struggling to think of a historical scenario that would include all them. :D

More a case of lots of options for different games around the Russian Civil War. The Poles didnt really fight alongside anyone else except in Siberia mainly in Russian uniforms. The Chinese did use White troops as mercenaries and did have direct conflict with Baron Ungern in Mongolia so a few options. But yeah you cant really use them all at the same time.

Cracking! Super looking game matey
-
Thanks guys.
-
Some lovely figures on that board.
-
Lovely set up, particularly like the rail and air elements - Nieuport looks cracking straffing all those troops...
-
The modern bits really serve to emphasise how 19th century the rest feels, armoured cars alongside Cavalry and Airplanes.
-
An excellent looking game! Sounds like it could have gone either way.

A close run thing for sure.
