Title: Oi Navarcoi fleet rules, first test

Very glad to say that the first test of the rules was very successful. It was indeed better to fully draft a new set instead of patching up a thousand house rules on an existing set!

The game ran very smoothly and the few revisions should make it even smoother. Just one major change enacted, which enormously simplifies movements.

It was interesting reading the design changes.  The push and pull between "real" and "game" came across.

you're welcome. We did have a lot of fun indeed! Yes the balance between real and game is tricky. On the one hand, this being a labour of love and not commercial enterprise, I wanted to do a totally historical thing. However, on the one hand there are many things we simply do not know, so by definition impossible to replicate on the table: on the other hand, it must be a game which I have fun to play with! I think these last mods will do. We'll see the next test.
