New range added to my website, just 28mm at the moment but 15mm hopefully by next month. Supplied in resin, mixed by my fair hands, using rather expensive flexible resin mixed in the correct dose with the slightly less expensive hard resin. https://lancerminiatures.com/product-category/red-copper-miniatures/

Oooh, they look nice. I might be in line for some of them. Nice price
for the chariots too.
-
Love it!
I have been toying around with some Chariot Wars rules for a while now. They are scale and mini agnostic, but I have been torn by the scale I should paint my own armies in. I have not been happy with the 28mm chariots I have seen, but I find yours look the part.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I've been hoping for another range to cover these. Well done.
-
These look excellent - and just what I've been looking for for the Jackals RPG!
@Lancer - any chance of some Egyptian spearmen? They'd be really useful as generic guards etc.
-
Very nice. If only we could get them in Australia.
-
Great.
Any idea of their comparative size with Foundry etc?
-
Glad you like them guys, size wise they are 28mm foot to eye if that helps, I scaled them down so they mix in well with the rest of my armies. Egyptian spearmen no sorry, it isn't up to me what comes out next, but I can ask. Post to Australia, no problem, got several customers their, but of course postage costs are what they are. Painting up a Hittite army for myself, for my favourite ruleset Impetus.

These are great!
Slightly cartoony-looking, judging by the pictures, but even so I'd be seriously tempted to get back into another Biblical project with these.
Wasn't there another thread recently where these same miniatures were being promoted as downloadable files for 3D printing?
-
Egyptian spearmen no sorry, it isn't up to me what comes out next, but I can ask.
That's all I can ask :D
I'm very likely to invest in a few of these after next payday.

Yes Tikitang, I purchased the commercial licence, which allows me to make and sell the prints, unfortunately it doesn't allow me to convert them to metal, but them's the rules.
-
unfortunately it doesn't allow me to convert them to metal
That's a shame! What's the reasoning behind that?
-
Tikitang, yes a shame, but its his range so I abide by his decision, to be fair the poses would cause some issues going into a mould, and weapons and some arms would need to be cast separate, not an ideal.

I see Samnites in 28mm metal. Any more from that period in the pipe line?
-
Hello Ran the Cid, the Samnites were for a private project, once I have everything else finished I may go back to it, but dont hold your breath, sorry
-
Ran the Cid, if you are after 28mm metal Samnites I can recommend those produced by A&A Miniatures, whose ranges go pretty much under the radar. A bit crude in places but really look the part. I bought an army of them last year and mixed them with those from Crusader Miniatures. A&A have monthly offers which makes them quite competitive. The March one if for cavalry which doesn't do much for an infantry-based Samnite army so see what they do in April!
-
Are your figures for sale scaled down to fit other Egyptians or was that just your private figures?
-
Hi Samson, I have scaled them down to 28mm to mix in with other brands, doing them at 90%..
-
So to sound thick. Do you mean you scaled them down 10% of what another company may do them. Eg scaled down 10% from the standard 28mm as originally designed?
-
Scaled down 10% to match in with most of figure companies ie Perry Victrix etc. As original they are very heroic scale so wouldn't mix in with anything. Don't know what other suppliers of this range are doing, but I did see one company state they are doing the same, sorry cant remember which one it was.
-
Just received a pack of the Egyptians. Lovely figures and well produced.
Just a tad small to fit in with what I had intended though which is a shame. I guess I’m in the minority of people who’s existing figures are on the slightly larger scale.
-
We need a comparison scale picture with BTD, Foundry (smaller) etc.... lol
-
Glad they arrived safely, sorry a bit too small for you. As the file is written, they are very much on the heroic scale ie 35mm foot to eye so don't match in with anything I own, hence the decision to reduce them to 28mm so they match with most metal and plastic manufacturers.
-
No problem at all Lancer. That’s the reason I only ordered one pack. If I ever decide to do an army at that scale though, what you sent was top notch. No idea what resin you used but it’s lovely.
-
I received my order from another company. Also as yours scaled down. Totally amazing sculpts. The chariots are big and love them. All totally characterful.
By the way your chariots are the cheapest I have seen. Amazing deal. Will be sending soon for Sea People chariots.

Great sculpting!
I have been doing a lot of research onto the Hittites as I am currently putting together an army of them and looking at how to paint them up and it is interesting that manufacturers have Hittite figures even ‘Kings’ with beards but it seems to be generally accepted by historians that Hittites were clean shaven, beards were viewed as something only worn by the Gods, even the depictions of their soldiers on the Egyptian reliefs of the Battle of Kadesh for example show this. Has anyone else come across this?
The Syrians of course loved a good beard! 😊
