Title: Māori warriors by Eureka Miniatures
Post by: Arteis on March 13, 2023, 10:30:24 AM
I have just finished painting this lovely set of Eureka Miniatures‘ 28mm Māori warriors. They are primarily designed for the inter-tribal conflicts, before Europe started to make an impact with the introduction of the musket.

However, these figures should also be able to be used for the earlier parts of the colonial New Zealand Wars of the 1840s, so they’ll bulk up my existing war-parties of figures by Empress Miniatures.

Nice - and I read the blog post to see any thoughts on tattoos and certainly understand foregoing that challenge, especially since you were aiming more at a wargaming standard.  By the way, I would not call that lazy but practical.  I've become quite happy with 'adequate' paint jobs in order to improve painting production rates.  Given my supply of unpainted figures, it is the only realistic option.  Plus age is a factor, too, for me.

Really like how you did the 'skirts', that patterning really looks good.
