I recently purchased a group of Foundry Imperial Romans, but a number of them don't seem to match what I see on Foundry's website. They kind of seem to be a mix between Cesarean Legionnaires & Imperial Auxiliary.
They have the simpler Auxiliary helmet with the narrower tail at the back of the head, but they're wearing the Cesarean style mail with the extra shoulder pads. Other than the 1 overhand thrusting pose, the rest of the poses have no gladius in their scabbard, so I would guess they're supposed to be swordsmen.
All of Foundry's Cesarean Legionnaires that match these standing poses have some sort of helmet crest, while these figures have a small dot on top of the helmet. & while Foundry does have kneeling Imperial Legionnaires with gladius, they are in segmentata, while these are in the Cesarean style mail or just a plain tunic. & the kneeling armored Legionnaire seems to be carrying a gladius since there's none in his scabbard, but all the Foundry figures I have the gladius cast as part of the figure. & finally, all of the figures in the lot that are definitely Foundry have light texturing on the base, while none of these figures do.
Thanks for any help with either the manufacturer, Roman era, or troop type.

They look like Colin Pattern sculpts?

Dadlamassu, thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think so. The ones i have dont have the neck scarf that the Newline ones do. Newline also doesn't have any kneeling figures.
OshiroModels, I'm not enough familiar with Colin Pattern sculpts to identify them, but a quick search didn't bring up any Romans he did other than his Gripping Beast Late Romans.

I should also say these do scale very well with Foundry. I'm wondering if they are part of the Imago Militis range that Richard Ansell sculpted, but I've not found any pictures of them.

Thanks Tim Haslam, I didn't know GB used to do Marian Romans, but I found a few pictures & they certainly look almost identical. The only difference I see is the crest socket on the top of the helm of mine is barely there, while GBs have a more pronounced socket. Maybe just lost over time due to mold degradation.
Would love to know what other types of poses they did to see if they match what I have.
