This project is proceeding in fits and starts - Russo-Persian forces for Sharp Practice being the plan - but bear with me as I add to this as progress is made. Mix of Black Hussar, Eureka and Brigade Games figures - with a few odds and ends from elsewhere. Here's a fun article for a little background, for those interested: https://en.topwar.ru/15791-300-spartancev-polkovnika-karyagina.html (https://en.topwar.ru/15791-300-spartancev-polkovnika-karyagina.html)
First off some camel guns and a British advisor.

Beginning of the Russian command group.

The 17th Jaegers did some heavy lifting under Tsitsianov and Karyagin, so will be 3 or more groups of these.

A couple groups of cossacks - mounted and dismounted will form, the Russian mounted component of the force.

A couple of Foundry characters for good measure - should be fun to use within the narrative aspect of the game.

And finally, for now, the Circassians. Converting some Perry bash-bazouks here, as I don't believe that even Cuprum has these troops in his extensive catalog. About 8 more of these to greenstuff and complete.

Very nice and also also very useful. I hadn’t realised that there were Perry Bashi bazouks and there they are, tucked away in their Sudan range. Cheers!

Lovely painting and conversions. Definitely an interesting and little war-gamed theme.
Are those camel gunners from the old Westfalia line? They used to do quite a few packs of Persians for this era but I can't see them now. Unless I'm confusing the companies they seem to be only fantasy stuff, very good fantasy stuff, but less useful for Persians.

Cheers all - appreciate the kind words. Trev - they are the Westfalia figures, or were anyway when I bought them. The line is now available at Black Hussar. I’ll share more of the Persian troops soon as I’ve got the militia infantry on the desk now.

Loving your work! 👍

Cheers, GG.
Another batch here gets me caught up on my basing tasks, so it's time to get back on painting Russo-Persian dudes. First off, while the Cossack supply column is a looting mob, the Persians have a much more respectable camel train.

And here we have the Persian militia infantry and command group. Still to finish: the line infantry/cavalry, as well as some mailed Kurdish lancers.

At long last, the Ural(-ish) Cossacks are ready for the table.
Dismounted Don Cossacks. When complete this component of the force will have a similar footprint to the Urals above.
Another regiment of Persians in progress.
They’ll join these dudes..
And get a little help from these skirmishers.
And Kurds are now not far behind.

It's a really impressive force you are gathering there. Lovely work.

Such lovely figures.

lovely figures/ modding and paint-jobs.
cross- posting, but a lot of potential for Silver Bayonet etc there.

Splendid :)
