Hi All
I have this photo of 9th Bengal Cavalry at Suakin in 1885 (in Brian Robson’s Fuzzy Wuzzy). I am wondering about the colour of the turbans. These are captioned as officers; would officers’ and OR’s turbans be the same?

here is some uniform dated 1900 of 9th Bengal lancers,
Carman book does not report the colors of the turban, he only specifies that the lungi is blue.

hope is of some help.

Thank you!
All information gratefully received.
The trooper’s turban seems to have a much closer / denser pattern of stripes.
Cheers
