55 Days at Peking, June 20 – August 14, 1900
The Siege of the International Legations occurred during the Boxer Rebellion in the Chinese city of Beijing (Peking). Menaced by the Boxers, an anti-Christian, anti-foreign peasant movement, 900 soldiers, marines and civilians, largely from Europe, Japan, and the United States, and about 2,800 Chinese Christians took refuge in the Beijing Legation Quarter. The foreigners and Chinese Christians in the Legation Quarter survived a 55-day siege by the Qing Army and the Boxers. The siege was broken by an international military force which marched from the coast of China, defeated the Qing army, and occupied Peking. The siege was called by the New York Sun "the most exciting episode ever known to civilization."

Battle Report:
"Things got a bit dicey when the Chienmen gate fell and the Boxers poured in.
9 of the Legations were abandoned in their relatively organized retreats toward the British Legation.
4 of them were put to the torch.
There was some trouble crossing the canal due to 3 of the 4 bridges being damaged by Boxer rockets.
But the local labor (coolies) were put to work and quickly restored two of the bridges.
Then the consolidated defense around the British and Russian Legations became virtually impregnable due to their amount of firepower and the remaining Legation troops all held out until the relief column arrived on turn 10."

Great looking board. That took some time and effort to develop and create.

Thanks for all the feedback I let the gamemaster know the positive comments.

From the game master Bob R.:

"Titled “55 Days at Peking”

The rules, cards, tokens, etc are all home-made by me (Bob).
Terrain was made by me (Bob) and Mark K. Except for the fish tank items.

11 Legations, 2 walls, and the Roughs in the Fu = 14 players and the boxers are autonomous.
15mm Scale with various manufacturers"

With my own 15 mm Boxer setup on the back burner (everything purchased including lots and lots of the Bluemoon buildings), may I ask how many total figures were used in the game?   And, if not too much trouble, a broad break down of legation forces versus the Boxers - and maybe any Imperial forces and/or Kansu braves?  Did you have and find use for Red Lanterns within the game?  I plan to use mine as a sort of healing force or effect for the Boxers, and/or maybe a morale booster.

And 11 legations?  That seems a lot.

But a cool looking game.

Response from the game master:
"There are about 240 European figures. Including the roughs.
There are 120 Chinese civilians and 300 recyclable boxers.

I do have red lanterns, green lanterns, black lanterns, tiger men, and even a unit of naked females. But they are just additional units with no special attributes. In my game the boxers are either mobs that melee, or smaller units that shoot.

I did not include any imperial units."

Great looking table and report.  Glad to see the legations held out in the end.  Well, sort of, anyway...
