Introduced a gamer in the village to Chain of Command this week. He loved it, said it felt very realistic. Dutch/German border early 45, British infantry platoon probing into the Reichswald with a Churchill in support. Germans with a Pak40 and 81mm in support. Germans won, kept getting double 6s, outshot the British. All British figures Empress Miniatures, Germans a mix of Empress, Warlord, Artizan and Foundry.

Nice looking table with a great winter feel perfect for that stage of the war.
Good to win a new player over to the rules too. Sometimes a few too many double 6s can put a new player off as they tend to focus too much on the 'luck' element. Much depends on how they are open to dealing with friction in their games. I've introduced a new player recently and he's completely addicted as it hits the sweet spot for him, yet I've introduced others who simply don't 'get it'. Always good to find a new opponent though, that's a good result.
