Title: A test piece for a new project.
Post by: snitcythedog on May 21, 2023, 07:06:52 PM
I purchased some files from Printable Scenery https://www.printablescenery.com/ (https://www.printablescenery.com/) for impaled victims. The packet contained fifteen impaled victims with ten blank spikes.  There are both supported and unsupported versions.  Before I sent them out to have them printed up I wanted to see how they would look in real life.  A mate at the club volunteered to print up a couple in resin.  They printed up very well with crisp details.  I decided to base up the two with some bamboo skewers.  Zenith primed with thin washes of paint and inks.  I have sent them off to the printers to do the rest.

They look suitably grim and unwelcoming.  Definitely a good idea to head the other direction.

Nice.  I think going more with those 'yellower' bones will make it more 'realistic'.

Thank you for the nice comments.

Glad you like it.  The recipe is just an ivory color that was washed with Citadel Seaphim Sepia and thinned Athonian Camoshade.  Gives a slight yellow green tinge.

These look great.I like the look of them as they look like they have dried skin still on them.
