Hello,
I'm planning to use Warfare Miniatures' late 17thC range for the colonists, but I'm looking for Indians that would scale well with them. Warfare Minis are quite slight and more "true" 28 mm so Galloping Major, Northstar and Redoubt won't work (at least I think so, haven't handled any of these). Does anybody know if the ex-Conquest-now-Warlord-Games FIW Indians (not the plastic ex-Wargames-Factory ones) would fit? I know they are smaller than the above 3 companies'. I was also considering the Perry ones form their AWI range hoping the musket hasn't changed THAT much over the 100 years...

All I can talk about is what I remember, I painted up some of the Warfare Miniatures for Barry's Beneath the Lily Banners first Edition Wargame Rules and yeah, Warfare Miniatures are slighter than the average 28mm miniature.
From what I remember, Conquest Native Americans were reasonably slight too but larger in general form then Warfare.

The former-conquest figures should work fine - I'll get a size comparison picture when I get home?
The Perry AWI range will also fit, as will the Brigade Games King Phillips War and FIW ranges

Hoping the musket hasn't changed THAT much over the 100 years...
So, the front end of the muskets don't change that much, stocks kinda do... Here are a few late 1600s/early 1700s muskets for comparison

From the left:
Warlord/Conquest, Warlord/Conquest, Warlord/Conquest, Warfare (slightly larger end of their range), Northstar (thinned base)

Another possible options might be Sash & Sabre, possibly some of the Redoubt figures with bases removed. There are two different sculptors in the Redoubt range - one is very bulky and have rounded bases, the others are more realistically proportioned and come on square bases.

Wargames Foundry produce 3 packs of 17th century Indians which should suit your needs.

Brigade Games produces a small but fairly complete range for King Phillips War, including mounted troops for the colonists. They are 28mm, and designed I believe by Paul Hicks.

Some of Crann Taras might fit - theyre similar heightwise to conquest but a wee bit slimmer & taller, more natural proportions

I think the Conquest ones will be the way to go, I'm in UK and I can't figure out where to get Brigade Games minis without a US shipping.

You're very welcome, late 1600s North America is one of my favourite subjects.
I have had Brigade games figures shipped to the UK in the past (probably 3 years ago, before we moved to Canada). Above a certain order size there's a special shipping rate ($15? Or something like that) and all the parcels I have had from them seem to have been lucky with import fees...

Flint and Feather figures are pretty good .They have Iroquois,Huron,French, English but they are more for 1607-1660 period.
