Title: Native Cythereans - Lizardmen, Parrotmen, or...

While a huge fan of Space 1889 'worlds building', I long ago felt only one primitive sentient species felt restricted for Venus.

Elsewhere, I have mentioned both of the above in competition,. Perhaps rising separately, only recently coming into contact, and conflict. This would make them terrible grist the Venusian 'great game.'

Please reply if you've considered multiple sophont indigenous groups, or groups other than the above.

I have lizardmen (GW slink) and parrotmen (kroot) living on Venus. A couple have been been recruited into my interplanetary arm of the French Foreign Legion (Legion Extraterrestriale).

I am a bit curious as to the relationships between the two, if you've any thoughts. For instance, do both serve in the same FFL(LE) units?

Of course, skinks would be a fair amount smaller than kroot, so might well be non-competing niches.

Saurans might be perceived as more of a threat...
