Hello folks,
Need to ask a favour if I may. Looking for some painting suggestions in painting German Shepherds or similar.
For me, I see painting the canine a medium brown colour for the base followed by a dry brush of Ochre Brown then followed by highlight and adding some black patches - Thoughts anyone? I hope you could oblige me by suggesting vallejo colours too where possible.
Ta muchly,
Helen

Black and what GW calls "snakebite leather" plus white for highlighting.

Thatīs what I meant: Ochre. Black patches not randomly! Usually the back along the spine and the sides and the head. Legs and tail are not black. There is even a breed that is not black at all.

Thanks Michi, I'll give your ideas ago.
Thanks for responding to my request,
Helen

some have a yellowish ochre belly
of course it depends on the sculpt, whether it is hairy or smooth
when I painted my smooth tigers, I dry-dabbed the transition from coat to belly with a sponge to achieve a "furry" looks - same technique as one the tiger motorbikes
please let us know how they turned out ma'm ;)
