Title: Africa in 1/72
Post by: Koppi on December 09, 2009, 02:10:32 PM
Hi all,

just want to share my 1/72 figs with you. I want to testplay the new colonial rules with these forces: The "arabian" style soldiers are the old Esci - now relaunched by Italeri - Muslim Warriors.

Also El 'Awrence - or someone else - is there:

Nice table and great looking figures. How big is your table?

Meanwhile I've finished a third segment for the table. Now the size is: 120 m x 180 m.

Looks good.  Are those figures soft or hard plastic?  (Always curious how paint stays on soft/bendy plastic figures.)

They are softplastic. But there is really no problem with the paint. Just undercoat the figure with a standard primer (like GW or something else). Than paint it with acrylic colour, followed by gloss varnish, and finish it with a matt varnish. That's all. Same procedure like painting tin soldiers.

Very nice, Koppi :)  I'm sure I've got some of these chaps somewhere in the miniature mountain just waiting for a paint job half as good as these!

Beautiful paint job on your 20mm leader's face.  WOW.

Hey,

thanks to all of you for your positive comments. In January more photos will follow.
At the moment there is no time for me to finish the stuff standing around me. In December there is lot to do in an electronic market in Germany.  :) All these customers and maniacs crying for support. ;D
Maybe this will be my next scenario: "Pharao slain by a Nerd Herd. But Koppi will rescue the heir." lol
