How wide is S gauge track? (like what Brigade Games sell)
I do have some pieces but can't find them at the mo.
-
i don't know much about about trains apart from S gauge is 1:64 or about 25mm ;)
not sure on the width but you might find the answer on one of the sites below ???
(space between the rails) is .883 inches ... don't know if these sites help?.... http://www.s-scale.org.uk/rails.htm http://understandingsscale.com/

check out the sticky in the railway board
I posted a scale/gauge table
S gauge is 22 mm
while the BG trains is nice, the waggons are quite narrow, so You better check first what You want to put on them
-
former user is right: 22mm. Almost impossible to lay hands on - at least on the continent. I know there are a few S gauge clubs in the UK, but I don´t know who provides their tracks. It´s a US scale...

if it hasn't to be S I recently bought a toy train for 20 Euro that runs on 0 gauge, but otherwise looks very smallish, like S
Western style
loco, tender, 2 coaches, coal wagon
RC, light and sound
still a lot on ebay
google Goldbären express
only flaw is that the plastic is a bit soft - so I don't know about glueing yet
but otherwise a bargain

strange the *link* S Scale Model Railway Society (http://www.s-scale.org.uk/main.htm) say it's 1:64th scale.... 4.763 mm = 1 foot ... that would make a 6 feet guy taller than 22mm ??? [wiki]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1:64[/wiki]

I would be very interested in S-gauge track or track kits towards the budget end of the spectrum. Does anyone know where to acquire it?
Edit: Now another question in quite short order, I'm assuming radius is always measured to the track centre (I'm pretty sure, just checking). Seeing as Brigade games have 24" curves that would be perfect for doing a right angle turn tramway down the centre of one of my 4' boards.

Correct.

er.... possibly to the inner rail rather than the centre track
