Title: From Ancient German to......Cowboy in underwear
Post by: nervisfr on February 03, 2010, 04:07:56 PM
Re-animator is back with this new convertion option  :
Let's convert a german warrior into a cowboy awaken in urgency, fall down from the bed for a fight action into the night or something like that .

My goal is to get a figurine looking like this (but in red ) :

* take that warrior :

* cut off his typical subian knothair with a cutter.
* delete the trouser sculpting with a cutterwork between the nude torso and the trouser.
* Glue a piece of metal/lead leaf for the buttonline of the underwear suit
* Glue an another one at the bottom of your "nearly" cowboy as a rear opening.
* make some strip with the cutter at each end of the underwear (just before the hand and the foot) marking the end of it.
* Wrap the figurine with paper handkerchief and glue-varnish. You'll give the convertion a more natural look for underwear suit than a simple paintwork.  o_o

* add some typical cowboy items like a colt and a coltbelt (homemade with metal/lead leaf material, again).

the finished convertion :

now you 'll need to wait for the paint job result.... :'(

Very funny!

The red makes me think it is a jumpsuit though!  ;D

Your various Ancient German conversions have been most inspirational and helpful. I am getting into Old West gaming for the first time, but it will be a bit before I can purchase my first figs. I do, however, have a hand full of ancient figs laying about.

Mine are celts and some have some light armor and shields but I should be able to work around those.

I am still a bit unsure of where to get pistols and weapons.

i know, i know, this is an old Topic but i have to reboot all the pictures from my old topics on the LAF !

My pictures ' web host , Imageshack, stop the free storage and they delete my account if i don't pay a subscription...... Cry
So all my topics are down, with all pictures masked !

Now, it'll better for the newcomers to see this topic as it was at his start, in 2009.

Cheers

I know but i don't like to have the same figurine as everybody, and at this time, i had a full stock of Ancient Germans to dispatch !
