I'm looking for such things as jerry cans, small crates, ammo containers, and so on, that I can put on a base to spruce up mortar or machine gun emplacements.
Thanks.

Westwind do these: http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?infoBox=1&cPath=142

Ebob have some German components:

Cool. Thanks, folks.
I think that, for that price, I'll make my own crates and use them for cover around mortar and MG emplacements with a sprinkling of moss and coarse sand.
Wonder if wooden coffee stirrers from Starbucks will do the trick.

There is a German/US plastic kit set in 1/48 by Tamiya. It provides 55gal/200l barrels and 5gal/20l canisters for both nations. I used a lot of them...

There's also this one:

I like the Tamiya stuff. I also like the Pegasus Hobbies prepainted stuff.

I do to plus some some similar O scale stuff from a US model railway supplier. I find that they are to light to use on the wargame table as a mere puff of air will send them flying, not to mention bumps and such. I sometimes hide sheet lead and such in them to give them some gravitas.

Should think so.
This is a link to an article at TerraGenesis (http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page560.html) that is a 'how to make easy crates' thing, which uses coffee stirrers.
Everyone's right, the pre-made ones can be very fine; but boy are they expensive. 'Why pay that, when I can make it at home for nothing, using only... a small aubergine?' is what I say.

I've got some HMGs and mortars on some of the large, round GW bases.
I figured they'd look nice with some stuff on them like a fallen log for cover, part of a fence, crates, bricks, sandbags, etc.
That's where this is coming from.

Yup - Fenris have stacks of stuff you can use to customize your emplacements - the stowage pack is probably worth getting as well.
:)
