I'm sure, that's not really new to you but to me :) just discovered on the Perry's workbench those Egyptians. Very nice figs, always wanted to get some Egyptians to play with. I wonder what conflicts I could play with these apart from the Sudan war?

Well, the obvious one is the 1882 revolt, in which the Brits took over Egypt.
They could also be used against "Darkest Africa" tribal foes, as the Egyptians did try to expand their empire southwards into the sub-Saharan region. Though perhaps those troops would have looked a little less "parade ground" than these lovely examples.

agree :)
btw, Perry's have Mounted Egyptian Command in the Sudan range but unfortunately no photos. Does anyone know any pics of them?

Could these pass for 1890's Ottomans?

With a suitable paint job they could be anybodies well-disciplined askaris.
-
you could even use them as a command attached to the foreign legion in CiC (Cairo that is, not Carpatia 8) )

Have to resist...

They are, as everything the Perrys do, brilliant. I still do mourn that they are 25mm rather than chunky 28 like Artizan and Copplestone.
