Stumbled on this dudes site while searching for 15mm stuff.


Great workmanship, and he has articles explaining how her built everything feromship, catles, to sculpting greens.

The best thatched roof tutorial I've ever seen!!!!!

Yeah, it's a very good website.
The towel thatch is surprisingly more effective than teddy bear fur isn't it!  ;D

I used an old Green towel when i did thatching for some Japanese peasant houses years ago.  I found i made less mess and it was easier as well.

 Lord knows, I get plenty of tips, research, and inspiration from LAF, so anything I can do to give back feels good.

Now show me your thatching, and I'll show you mine!  (that doesn't sound so good, does it?   :? )

For clipped, regular thatch the towel method is streets ahead in terms of ease and authenticity. Great article for the compare and contrast aspect and there's some other really good stuff on that site too.  Thanks Smokey.
