I've seen a few Jason and the Argonauts type games on here so I thought I'd share!
From the website:
There will be 34 figures in total (32 Hoplite's, 1 piper and an optional ornately armoured command figure) comprising of 20 Hoplites wearing linen/composite armour, 4 with bronze armour and 8 un-armoured figures.
With a total of 64 components per infantry frame (plus the command frame) you will have enormous choice in helmets, crests, shields and weapons; allowing you to create very individual units.
These are in tooling and are expected to be on sale in the first quarter of 2010.
The price will be around £15, including transfers.

Those could be tempting.
-
They do look quite nice. The Armored Hoplites look very epic. Any idea on the scale? I didn't see that mentioned anywhere, although it's a good chance I overlooked it. ;)
-
Hoplites are a good start.
Will they do plastic Persians too ?
Going to need lots of opposition.....
-
I *think* they are 28mm.
Although I got the link from WAB Forum looking for examples of a 20mm Persian army (which brought up nothing!).
I hope they're 28mm.
I would definitely find something to use them for!
-
If they are 20mm, well thats really bloody impressive for 20mm then. :o
-
Hehe... these are actually "3 Ups" meaning they are about 3 times the size of a normal figure (whatever that size may be) and then get shrunk down on computer.
The detail would be incredible in 20mm but I think a lot of it might be lost in the process, too.
-
I think they are 28mm. That is the scale of the rest of the figures that Immortal has released for this period.
-
Any news on a release date yet?

Here you go! Better late than never:

Looks like there's some plastic Persians on the way, too?
-
I have a pack, they're very nice.
Persians were previewed at Salute along with the initial work on Peltasts I think.
-
Those sprues look pretty impressive! I may have to invest in a box if I can scrape up the dosh...
-
Any chance of some comparison pics etc. dewbak? They look gorgeous :P
-
I'll see what I can do :)
-
Steady wallet, steady boy...
-
Just finally finishing off my Greek Foundry army only 1 phalanx some skirmishers and a cavalry unit to go and then these come out...very tempted
-
I don't care for their other Hoplites, but these hard plastic ones do look nice. 8)
Cheers

I bought 4 boxes and Im in the process of putting them together.
I like them
-
wanna see some detailed photos... the scale comparison is ok, but i need more specific infos1 :P
-
What do you want to know? Immortal themselves have shots of the sprues on their site.
-
i know, but somehow looking pics made by customers give me a better idea of the minis!
-
Compared to historical 25 to28 minnis these have alot of detail in the muscle almost
heroic but not gamesworkshop heroic. Like I said earlier I like them, but be prepared to sit down and take some time putting them together. You cant be feeding the baby answering the phone etc etc while putting them together. No multi tasking lol

Fair enough, if there is something particular you'd like to see, just say. I'll see if I can get a photo done.
