Post by: demi_morgana on May 23, 2007, 05:59:22 PM
ok... hope You're not gonna lynch me here for posting topic about gw system on this noble forum but I have to ask:
does any of You know address of site dedicated to gorkamorka? I've been searching for some more infos about this game but didn't find as much as I'd like...
although I've never had opportinity to play, I believe gorkamorka is one of the best gw: not mentioning whole-a-lot of character of orkz and 'uuumiez speeding thru desert in search of junk (or whatever) that game doesn't seem to require selling half of the house to get reliable gaming force :)

I'll be grateful for help!

And thus you see why the game was doomed from its inception.

Lamentably, Gorkamorka has been removed even from the catalog of Specialist Games. I believe the omnibus catalogs have the miniature part listings, but these are very rare these days and now only available as part of the mail order bits service. I don't even know if it has a web presence!

You know I've been reading over the old rules just the other day.  The Ork in me runs very deep.  I would love to play the game.  I even have a Speed Freaks army that could be used in a pinch for vehicles and whatnot.  To dream anyway...

The best place for all things Orky must be http://www.the-waaagh.com/home.htm There's even a seperate Gorkamorka part on their forum. I got heaps of Orks, a big part of them are from the Gorkamorka range. If you have a wishlist of models let me know. I have way too much stuff so maybe I can help you out.

after ork-hunt on internet auctions I managed to get gorkamorka ork nob and ork trukk* for really decent prices;
I like conversions of any sort so I replaced ork's banna pole with kustom made generator and it's slugga arm with mutated limb;
here You can see the result - tried to paint it in uncommon (as for the greenskin) way and I am pretty satisfied with the result :)

and if You care for voting on cmon - please follow THIS LINK (http://www.coolminiornot.com/167080) - I'll be appreciated :wink:

*the trukk however had a very serious accident and it's main body was melted down during washing paint off -> remainitng parts were used to construct wheeled dreadnought :lol:
