I wasn't sure if I should put this in Future Wars or Other, so I'm here in the other.
Does anyone know of anywhere that sells modern British Coppers in 28mm? In one-tit helmets and body armour would be perfect.
I've got a few projects on the go that could really benefit from them, my Doctor Who project, Zombie fighting or even some modern era .45 adventure games.

So perhaps this is not _quite_ what you had in mind...? ;-)

Not exactly
But the helmet is about right.

There are the Westwind Gothic Horror London bobbies. The uniform is distinctly Victorian, but you might be able to convert them .
Coincidentally I don't see many policemen around where I live wearing the helmet anymore, they are usually in the peaked cap.

Have you read the previous thread entitled "Shut it" ?
A forthcoming 1970's British cops and robbers game with minatures to follow. Sounds like you might be in luck :)

Looking for Modern British Police?
should one ring 999?
sorry culdn't resist
but more sedately:
from the British Crime dramas i've seen (Inspector Morse, etc) and the one COPS style show i saw while visiting, some of the regulars were wearing a green reflective vest of sorts making them look like generally any police - including US. so i we could find some in those safety vest and do a head swap for the right helmet or cap from a Victorian Bobby it may work. just an idea - sorry if my visually memory is off.

You could be right, they wear High Vis tabbards when on the beat/road patrol. More often than not they also now wear stab vests too

Cheers for all the help and ideas so far.
The uniform has changed massively over the years, it's more like Army geat in dark blue now, if I could find some without assault rifles I guess modern British Light Infantry would be best best place to start a conversion. I guess I'm really looking for the shirt sleeves and body armour look, the helmet would be a cheeky bonus. Like these characters:

999 would be an option, but I've not finished my Atomic-1:56-izing Super Ray, yet. :)
I'll get some 70's Coppers as soon as they are available, but it's 21st Century ones I'm looking for now. Geezers, Shut it! sounds fantastic. :)
