The Foundry limited edition of shotgun-toting Queen Vic and her two attendents is on offer here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300415247084&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
At time of writing the starting price is £4.50 with no bids, but still 6 days left.
I'm not bidding as I have the set, but I'm sure others will be tempted :)
-
Yup.
Watching already. :)
-
Mich auch.
-
Very tempted to bid.
I would really like this set.
-
hmmmm... yeah....
-
ok, I thought these were Foundry and also thought they were still available. hmmm...
-
They are but they cost a fortune. And I think you can only buy them individually?
-
ok, I found them, then there is no hurry :) It is better to be able to buy them expensive at a later point, when I actually have money, than not to be able at all.
-
True that. :)
-
Exactly, I am one of the bidders but I realize I don't need them that desperately so I won't bid against appreciated fellow LAFers. I let my bid stay at £10, just so you know.
-
Is anybody still bidding on this? I don't want to try and outbid a fellow LAFer.
Hammers
I take it it is your bid at the £10?

That's me. If you are very keen to get it I'll let it go. I can use the karma. (I can't guarantee you will get it if I don't, of course).
-
Thanks Hammers
Placed a bid on them.
Had to go up a bit to get them.
Not going to go any higher though as with the £3.50 P&P it is getting closer to being cheaper with Foundry.
3hr 15 min left.
Will see how I get on.
I never seem to win any bargains on Evilbay :'(
-
Thanks guys
I managed to win them. A wee bit of a bargain, £16 including P&P. Would have cost £15 plus the £8 P&P from Foundry.

Congratulations.

Congrats GM. I have to say I was considering putting a killer bid in at the last second but I wouldn't do that to my fellow LAFers/BLAMers.
-
Good for you GM I was tempted but even if I did get them they whould be at the bottom of a big pile to be painted-got a couple of bids on evil-bay at the moment whats the betting I get beaten by a couple of quid in the last few mintures?

The last second bid usually is what happens to me on ebay. I never get good deals. The next problem is actually getting the stuff delivered. Two out of three things I bought previously never arrived at all.
Hopefully I will have better luck this time.
Now back to work, planning on how to build Balmoral castle :D

A great idea. ;D
I have often thought of a scenario involving a kidnap attempt on Vickie whilst she is staying at Balmoral, perhap out hunting in the highlands. Lots of potential for John Brown, shotguns, tartan and Harris tweed :D

I don't appreciate you reading my mind, Malamute. What goes on in there is private. :-[

Ran a game a bit like that back in our Space 1889 days. Russian Anarchists up to no good I think it was. Possibly Fenians, I don't recall. Only they were trying to kill her, not kidnap her.
No pictures, though. Never could quite see the use of figures in Roleplaying games.

Yeah, thats a place I don't wish to dwell in too long, for obvious reasons :o

I have had a notion of a campaign based around an attempt to capture the queen at Balmoral. I had the idea of a few different games leading to the final one at the castle.
I managed to gather some pictures of the place

and also a map of the interior.

I did try to source a model as well but this was all I could find.

Hey Colin no problem with building that model. Jimbibbly will be able to knock that up between now and supper time ;)
Nice idea for the campaign, I have had very similar thoughts. The castle was the problem for me, so I was thinking of several games up in the Highlands, involving some crofts, lochs, trees, mountains etc.
Hey now you come to mention it, here's your game for BLAM :D
-
Where the fun in that ???
I want to do it myself :'(
I can sneak expensive figures into the house but I think her indoors would notice a large castle :(

I quite agree, I know you'll think of something :D

The BLAM game is already sorted, I think. And building is underway (my young brother is keen) with some trial bits. Will need to have some practice runs before we decide if our idea is going to work and before we let anybody else know our stupid idea.
