Title: 15mm Samurai

Can any one tell me if  two Dragon Productions Samurai are compatible with Peter Pig ?

I've not tried putting them together but from my experience of other PP ranges I'd reckon they would be. I hope so since I'm going to be adding to my own Two Dragons collections. The main difference I gather is the Peter Pig ones have integral sashimonos, this may make the sashimonos slightly shorter than the Two Dragons since they won't have the L shaped attachment into the back of the figure. Funnily enough I was just tinkering with some Two Dragons sashimonos this lunchtime and wondering how much easier it would be if they were already attached. From the fiddly assembly aspect it does appeal, particularly if you are going to have lots. PP are nice figures to get whatever the reason...
That being the case you might want to think carefully about which figures you may want with and without sashimonos. I don't tend to use them on Arquebusiers and Archers. Arquebusiers are already encumbered with all the paraphenalia, and the very distinctive Japanese archery ('Kyodo' I think) relies on the arms being fully upraised initially. The bow is then drawn as they are lowered. Not sure I could do that with a flag on my back, however lightweight!
I think the later the period, the more likely the troops will be increasingly 'regimented'.

Just a few pics of the WIP Go-Hojo army I'm creating using the Two Dragons ranges, an interesting Clan for their use of colour to differentiate between contingents and note the use of horizontal bars to suggest different companies. In terms of organisation of elements I've had to do the heraldry first to determine figure selection before completing the figures themselves;

Museum Miniatures have some 15mm samurai too - including some useful camp follower types.
