For Historicon, my local gaming group is putting on a large WWI in the Middle East game. It will be semi-historical, meaning that it is loosely based off an actual battle.
However, I have been tasked with painting the ANZACS. I have the Brigade Aussies and ANZAC packs and I know someone on here (probably Helen) has them painted up and I would like to get a look at the color schemes used. So anyone willing to point me to the images, it would be greatly appreciated.
And if you are interested in the game we are running, here is the description:
Battle for the Suez Canal
Based loosely on the battle of Romani, 1916. Turkish forces along with German and Arab allies attempt to break through the British defenses at Romani and gain a foothold on the banks of the Suez canal. With only a minimal force to defend the town initially, the British will need to use the reinforcements wisely to throw the attackers back.

As usual with WW1 there is not one colour tone. The ANZAC uniform tended to bleach rather fast. If you use Google you'll find a couple of pages for ANZAC tradition or reenactment regiments where you can find colour photographs of ANZAC uniforms.

Hi Richard, I'm sorry I've not responded sooner to this question.
I've experimented alot with colours to get the right look for the ANZACs. Looking at my notes from the past and reflecting on my recent painting I'd like to suggest at least these options for your miniatures. All Vallejo Model Colour (MC)/Game Colour (GC)/Vallejo Panzer colours (VPC):
Bush hat - MC Brown Violet (3)+ VPCEnglish Tank uniform (ETU) (1),2nd VPCETU, followed by highlight adding VPC ETU highlight.
Uniform - MC US Olive Drab (1) + ETU (3) + GC Khaki (1) highlight with VPC ETU highlight
Webbing - fill your boots! :D
Puttees - MC Khaki Grey + MC Stone Grey
Don't forget the rising sun on the bush hat an on the lapels.
Good luck,
Helen
